Philadelphia’s Wireless Network Has Been Saved

PHILADELPHIA, PA – On June 17, 2008, Mayor Michael Nutter and Councilman Bill Green announced a ground-breaking agreement that has saved Philadelphia’s citywide wireless network from being permanently shut down.  Unable to find a purchaser for the network infrastructure, EarthLink was scheduled to begin dismantling the network this month.  Read more...
